On July 18 three of our hometown fighters took to the ring at the Port Theatre in Nanaimo for a great night of pro boxing.

All three of them -- former Canadian super middleweight champion Mark 'Machine Gun' Woolnough; along with heavyweight 'Shotgun' Shane Andreesen, and super-middle Aubrey 'BamBam' Morrow -- fought like warriors and helped put professional boxing back on the map in these parts.

Aubrey won by TKO in the 3rd round, and in the co-main events; Shane battled to a hard-fought draw, and Mark dominated his opponent en route to a unanimous decision.

As a longtime fan of these guys it was a thrill to be back shooting ringside, and a big thanks and extra props to Terry Strawson and his Gloved Up Promotions for putting on a helluva show.
