Vancouver Island is a splendid place for a photographer to call home, and GrandSlamPhoto is the image-side of SeaCom freelance editorial services, est. 1999.

As a writer/photographer dug in on the West Coast, this kid from Saskatchewan has had some most excellent adventures over the years: skydiving, spending 26 hours at sea on a racing sloop covering the VanIsle 360 International Yacht Race; the two-day hike in to Della Falls, capturing the Vancouver Indy, and extreme spelunking at Horne Lake Caves to name a few.

In 2010 I was proud to serve in PHOTO OPERATIONS as Photo Supervisor for Cross Country Skiing at the Vancouver Winter Olympics.

Beyond covering sports as well as hard news, I also spent four years working as a studio photographer in Vancouver, and here on the rock offered weddings and private shoots as well as other work-for-hires.

That was then, this is now. While these days this site serves primarily as a creative outlet and for personal documentation, I do continue to offer stock photography services, and as such all the images on grandslamphoto.com are available for purchase.
